The Cajun Cleaver is a specialty butcher shop that not only carries specialty meats, but we also cook homemade entrees and sides every day. We bring an authentic Louisiana style of creative cooking to our community.
At the heart of The Cajun Cleaver is our commitment to providing quality specialty “Louisiana style” foods, as well as All Natural Angus, which promises no hormones, no antibiotics and no preservatives. Our desire is to acquire our products from environmentally and socially responsible suppliers.
The Cajun Cleaver is family owned and operated, and possessed of a deep conviction for personal, one-on-one service. We want to be the neighborhood market that knows our customers and their needs. The Owners
Nick Morris is a native of Zachary, Louisiana and grew up in a family that still has a passion for creating foods with a Cajun flair. He currently lives in Hoover, Alabama. He graduated with a B.S. from Louisiana State University. Nick has worked throughout Louisiana, Montana, Georgia, and Alabama in restaurants and restaurant management.
Adrienne Maughan Morris is a native of Hoover, Alabama and graduated from Shades Valley High School. She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and an MBA from Capella University. Adrienne spent 9 years teaching Elementary school in Hoover, sold science curriculum resources for 10 years, worked as an education specialist and marketing manager at an education company in Brooklyn, New York, and has been the eastern regional sales manager for ORIGO Education since November 2015.
Feeling a calling to open their own business, Nick and Adrienne have worked diligently to pursue that dream. Their combined years of experience in sales, education, and restaurant management have given them extensive experiences in building relationships and strategic partnerships. They are excited about opening a new business in Hoover and serving their community.
